The WHITE-WINGED SCOTER continued on Westlake Lake in Westlake Village through March 15.
The continuing AMERICAN OYSTERCATCHER at Royal Palms Beach in San Pedro was reported through March 21.
Another AMERICAN OYSTERCATCHER was at Leo Carrillo State Beach on March 18.
The ZONE-TAILED HAWK in Monrovia continued through March 16 around Grand Park and in the neighborhood to the west. It was last reported by the gate to Monrovia Canyon.
A YELLOW-BELLIED SAPSUCKER was in the northeast part of Pearblossom Park in Pearblossom on March 15.
The TROPICAL KINGBIRD at Ken Malloy Harbor Regional Park in Harbor City continued through March 21. Also present by the Machado Campsite in the southwest part of the park was a NORTHERN “YELLOW-SHAFTED” FLICKER on March 17.
The TROPICAL KINGBIRD continued around the pond at Entradero Park in Torrance through March 19.
Continuing HAMMOND’S FLYCATCHERS were at El Dorado Park in Long Beach and at Madrona Marsh in Torrance through March 19. A wintering ASH-THROATED FLYCATCHER also continued at Madrona through March 20.
The RED-FLANKED BLUETAIL at Clark Library in the West Adams district of Los Angles was seen through March 21. The library grounds are normally open to the public from 9-5 on weekdays only. However the grounds will be open this Sunday, March 24 from 12:00-5:00. The area near the southeast U-shaped hedge may be the most reliable area for this bird, but it moves around the east half of the property.
A SWAMP SPARROW continued to be reported at Bonelli Regional Park in San Dimas through March 20. Look for it by the southwest corner of the large square parking lot. This spot is just northwest of the lake and by the small pond.
A WHITE-THROATED SPARROW was at Arlington Gardens in Pasadena on March 16.
A DARK-EYED “PINK-SIDED” JUNCO was at Rancho Sierra Golf Course in the Antelope Valley on March 17. This is private property, please ask permission to bird the perimeter at the clubhouse.
A BALTIMORE ORIOLE was at La Mirada Park in La Mirada from March 15-17. It was near the northwest corner especially in a blooming coral tree in the disc golf course area. A BLACK-AND-WHITE WARBLER was also in this area from March 16-17 near Foster Road west of the parking lot.
The male BLUE-WINGED WARBLER continued at the El Dorado Park Golf Course in Long Beach through March 20. Use the Studebaker entrance. The bird has been between Studebaker and the south end of the duck pond. Check the area north of the clubhouse, along the fence and in the oaks between the golf course and parking lot.
A BLACK-AND-WHITE WARBLER continued at Creek Park in La Mirada (in the “wilderness area” just north of Imperial Highway) through March 16.
The LUCY’S WARBLER continued at North Weddington Park in North Hollywood. It is being seen in the far north section near the fence along the drainage channel (often on the far side of the channel) and was reported through March 20.
The GRACE’S WARBLER at Long Beach Recreation Park continued through March 16 south of the casting pond.
An adult male SUMMER TANAGER continued at Orcutt Ranch Horticultural Center Park in West Hills through March 16. It has been on the south side of the park, in the area southeast of the bridge crossing the ravine.
