Up to three BLACK SWIFTS were above Claremont through July 4. The most reliable spot is here 34.1512, -117.7127 along Cobal Canyon Motorway above Claremont Wilderness Park.
Five COOK’S PETRELS were northeast of San Clemente Island on June 30.
A MAGNIFICENT FRIGATEBIRD was at Pt. Fermin on June 30.
A WESTERN CATTLE EGRET was at the Ballona Wetlands
A BROAD-WINGED HAWK continued on San Clemente Island through July 2.
The continuing YELLOW-HEADED CARACARA in Lomita was reported through June 30. It has been hanging around the Target parking lot at Narbonne Ave. and PCH.
INDIGO BUNTINGS were on San Clemente Island on June 28 and near Mt. Wilson from July 1-5.
