This is the Los Angeles Rare Bird Alert for May 10.
A COMMON GROUND-DOVE continued along the San Gabriel River in Cerritos through May 4. It has been on the east side of the river south of Alondra (visible from the bike path).
An AMERICAN OYSTERCATCHER was at White Point on the Palos Verdes Peninsula on May 3.
A YELLOW-CROWNED NIGHT-HERON continued at Sims Bio Pond in Long Beach through May 8.
A BROAD-WINGED HAWK was in the Sepulveda Basin in Van Nuys on May 7. It was on the east side of the cricket field (north of Burbank Blvd. and east of Woodley).
The TROPICAL KINGBIRD continued at Ken Malloy Harbor Regional Park in Harbor City through May 9. It was last reported north of the Ranger Station.
Another TROPICAL KINGBIRD continued around the pond at Entradero Park in Torrance through May 5.
A BALTIMORE ORIOLE was on San Clemente Island from May 3-4.
A PROTHONOTARY WARBLER was at Sand Dune Park in Manhattan Beach from May 3-7. It has favored a silk oak tree.
A GRACE'S WARBLER was found at Charlton Flat in the San Gabriel Mountains on April 30 and seen through May 3. It has been seen near the road by the picnic area between the second and third footbridges.
