This is the Los Angeles Rare Bird Alert for July 30.

Three BLACK SWIFTS were seen again above Claremont Wilderness Park on July 25.

Two GLAUCOUS-WINGED GULLS were along the Los Angeles River between the Atlantic and Bandini crossings on July 24.

At least two NEOTROPIC CORMORANTS continued along the lower Los Angeles River around the island just below Willow Street through July 27.

Three more NEOTROPIC CORMORANTS continued in the Sepulveda Basin on the island in the wildlife area lake through July 25.

A YELLOW-CROWNED NIGHT-HERON was at the Cabrillo Salt Marsh at Cabrillo Beach in San Pedro from July 23-34.

A pair of YELLOW-CROWNED NIGHT-HERONS continued along Appian Way at Alamitos Bay through July 23.

Up to four more YELLOW-CROWNED NIGHT-HERONS were at Sims Bio Pond in Long Beach through July 28. One continued at the Ballona Freshwater Marsh through July 27 and two were at the San GAbriel River mouth on July 27.

An EASTERN KINGBIRD was at Piute Ponds on Edwards AFB (letter of permission required for entry) from July 25-26.
