This is the Los Angeles Rare Bird Alert for July 24.
A WHITE-WINGED DOVE was in San Pedro near the intersection of Patton Ave. and Hamilton Ave. on July 18.
At least two NEOTROPIC CORMORANTS continued along the lower Los Angeles River around the island just below Willow Street through July 22.
Other NEOTROPIC CORMORANTS included one at Bonelli Regional Park in San Dimas through July 19 and three at on the island at the Sepulveda Basin Wildlife Reserve lake on July 21.
A breeding pair of YELLOW-CROWNED NIGHT-HERONS with young were along Appian Way at Alamitos Bay through July 21.
Other YELLOW-CROWNED NIGHT-HERONS included up to three at Sims Bio Pond in Long Beach through July 22 and one along lower Ballona Creek (between Pacific Ave. and the UCLA boat ramp) om July 19.
An early WILSON'S WARBLER was at Eaton Canyon in Pasadena on July 22.
